I haven’t been very active lately, huh?
Oh well. I am pretty busy dealing with life right now (lots of stupid junk) and I will try to be around (as I have been) but you all probably wont see too much of me for a little while.
Just throwing that out there.
So it’s been a bit, huh? Though I’ve been working a whole lot over the last few months and I’ve definitely been way too tired to work out one of these. I somehow got a couple days in a row off, and I’m feeling pretty rested!
Not much has changed since the last entry, really. My family is still as gross as ever (if not more gross, having my own loo would be nice). Work has been the same too, except lately the higher-ups have been blaming some of us that are lower on the schedule for things we aren’t doing while one of the tools tries to get us into even more trouble. :I
Also apparently my drawing is getting better? Like, I still can’t draw for beans but it’s no longer a total eyesore??? Idk I think that’s pretty cool. I’m also getting better with writing, though I need to start making some of it public so that you can all tell me what I’m doing wrong (mostly, my writings consist of people calling each other “dongs” and such). I’ve also been pretty obsessed with writing things around Pokemon, especially since I’m still doing that series playthrough (still on Platinum, just got my 5th badge and making progress towards starting up Heart Gold).
With all that, I guess there’s nothing of interest that has happened lately. There’s apparently a wedding next week, and another two weeks after with an engagement party following soon after that I *have* to go to, so that’ll be fun. At least the food is usually good. >.>
It’s something I don’t really want to talk about, but need to get it out anyways, just so I can organize my thoughts and maybe finally be able to accept it as part of me. That I’m putting it here is so that if you guys feel like reading/responding/commenting then you can. Because yeah.
It’s about polyamory.
GUH I should probably do this before I put it off any more. This weekend is gonna be pretty hectic, tomorrow I’ve got a four hour defensive-driving class at 8AM before an all night shift, and the day after is some huge wedding that will probably be absurd (as Chaldean weddings usually are). That’s the reason for the haircut, and come Sunday I’ll probably be clean shaven too. D:
As you all have probably noticed, I’ve been playing a lot of Pokemon: Fire Red. Aside from the game being genuinely awesome, I have a plan to play through all the main games up to Black/White while keeping journal entries on what I’ve done in game. It’s something I’ve done before, but didn’t have the energy to finish. It made for a really good writing exercise since it basically left me explaining what was already happening/had happened and doesn’t leave much to the imagination (I’m bad at stories that make sense). Not entirely sure that I’ll post any of that stuff here though, but if there’s any interest I might? Speaking of writing, I do have a certain fan-fic to finish up…
And in regards to this here blog: I know I’ve been doing lots of switching stuff around and whatever, sorry about all the confusion that apparently a lot of you suffered through. I’m probably going to keep hectorfabu as a personal blog, though maybe go into more visuals than text (though I’ll keep things like this up) and am gonna (re)start a secondary blog where you all wont have to wade through my more personal things to get to news or reviews that you might want to see.
I’ll update you all on that more later though, right now Giovanni is all up in Silph Co. >:O
WELL since it’s late at night and maybe not so many people will see this clutter up their dash I can rant about things a bit. It is kind of long a long rant too D:
Today was absurd. During my nine hour shift my coworkers and I had a contest to see who could see the most steaks that were on special. Since I left earliest that was when the contest ended, and I came in second. Didn’t win a thing, but I also don’t have to pay up for anything (loser had to buy winner a beverage). I’m also pretty sure an older dude tried to hit on me, and when he asked me when I got off work I just told him I was closing. He seemed disappointed but he stopped persisting and that was good. >.>
My home life is pretty much the same, if not more ridiculous. I caught my oldest brother ready to start a large load of laundry with just two things to wash so I stopped him and said I’d do all the laundry together. He said “okay then fine” and said he’d throw out his underwear, but took them outside and literally dropped them through a sewer grate. I’m sure you’d all agree that that is totally ridiculous, and one of my other brothers yelled at him about it, but somehow I got blamed for cussing him out and got the business end of a rant/lecture about having “respect for [my] older brother.” What a bunch of bs. >3<
Right now I’m just incredibly tired. I got myself a good steak, gonna get ready to cook it up with some vegetables and watch the episode of Korra I missed earlier today. Plus, now most of my family is out of the house! Have been looking forward to this. :3
By now I’ve pretty much made a full transition from the last blog, I’ll post a few more times there to let people know before I fully delete it. I’ll probably try to confine the really personal stuff to journal entries like this (as seen on Charlie’s blog) from now on.
With classes being out, I’ve had more free time on my hands, which means more hours I can pick up at work. Since money is real tight, I’m taking all the hours I can get. A coworker managed to break his collar bone in three places from a skateboarding accident, so while he’s out they’ve been calling me to pick up even more shifts. I can’t say I’m having fun with it, but at least I’m getting paid! For now that’s good, though I’ve been hunting for a new job with no luck. I’ve sent in an application to many places but still haven’t gotten a call or anything, suppose I’ll just have to keep looking for now.
Persona 4 is still in my PS2. I’m a bit over 60 hours in and honestly I’m just trying to get to the end. It’s treated me well so far, but the story is really slow paced and I just want to find out who the killer is! I’m off today so I’ll be grabbing some snacks and hopefully finishing this thing off.
